Welfare Officer
Sid
Hi there! I’m Sid, a first year HSPS student and Welfare Officer on the JCR. Everyone knows Cambridge is not the most stress-free place to study, so I’m pleased that me and Liv are going be running some events to provide an oasis of calm (as far as that’s possible in our dungeon-esque JCR) in an otherwise hectic Selwyn. We’ll of course be ensuring access to sexual health provision as well as information about all the help and support on offer around and outside the University. Please take a look at our Instagram for more info, and be sure to get in touch with any questions or suggestions.
Welfare Officer
Olivia (she/her)
Hey, I’m Liv, a first year studying History! We all understand that maintaining that cliche of a ‘work-life balance’ is much easier said than done and I want to ensure that there is a robust support system in place to help manage the demands of term. Selwyn should be an environment in which everyone can thrive in being the best versions of themselves. I hope that as your welfare officer you can address any worries with me or simply have a talk to get things off your chest. I am dedicated to ensuring that resources are signposted and accessible to everyone, placing mental well-being at the centre of the college community. Any suggestions are very much welcome :)
